New Battery unit adds portability to Pendulum Instrument’s CNT-90XL Microwave Counter/Analyzer
Stockholm June 9, 2009. Pendulum Instruments, a company of the Orolia Group (NYSE Alternext Paris – FR0010501015 – ALORO), announces a new Battery Unit option to add portability to their market-leading CNT-90XL Microwave Counter/Analyzer. The CNT-90XL Microwave Counter/Analyzer is one of the fastest microwave counters with integrated power meter on the market, and it’s graphical display offers a great ease-of-use and control over measurement. With a frequency measurement range up to 60 GHz, the CNT-90XL Microwave Counter/Analyzer is suitable for various applications, such as microwave link carrier calibration, satellite communication equipment testing, RF and microwave instrumentation calibration, RF components and modules testing etc.
The new battery option (Option 23/90) expands the applications of the CNT-90XL in areas where there is no mains power available, for transporting the instrument to the measurement site and where critical measurements cannot be interrupted by power failure.
With the new battery option the CNT-90XL can operate without mains power for as long as 8 hours. Included is a stand-by mode to eliminate warm-up time – the unit is ready to perform anytime within 24 hour period. The option allows the CNT-90XL to operate in extended field operations through an external DC 10-18V input, for use in vehicles, or a replacement battery can be installed in a 5 -10 minutes, using standard tools.
Applications include:
- Mains-free operation in the field, e.g.:
- Transportation of high-stability OCXO to maintain stability
- Use as UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) for critical measurements on the bench
- installation / maintenance of outdoor radio equipment, e.g. microwave links
- calibration / maintenance of communication equipment onboard ships / aircrafts
- Instant use at destination without warm-up time
Instruments including the Battery Unit are available for deliveries in August, 2009.
