Find Synchronization Problems Fast and Easy

Pendulum Instruments offers a unique transportable WM-11 Wandermeter, for verifying the quality of synchronization clocks in digital networks, e.g. SDH/PDH/SONET. The unit weighs only 5 kg and contain everything needed, including the internal Rubidium reference and the presentation mode SW for calculating and displaying TIE-, MTIE- and TDEV-curves on the built-in graphical display. WM-11 is a mulit-application synchronization testing tool for a multitude of data rates in SDH, PDH, SONET, Video and frequency reference distribution networks.

Ethernet Interface as Standard

The WM-11 includes troubleshooting and certification of the synchronization clock in transport networks, and comes with an Ethernet Interface as standard! Wander is the slow phase drift of the clock, and the major cause for synchronization problems. Incorrect synchronization in digital communication networks can cause severe transmission problems.

Voice calls (fixed or cellular) will be lost, faxmachines will misprint, and data will be lost or frequently re-transmitted. In any case, network performance is degraded, the operators' service costs are increased and revenues are down.

The WM-11 Wandermeter cost less than many of comparable units and is extremely easy to operate.

Upgrade your existing WM-11 Wandermeter for SyncE and PTP

For customers already possessing WM-11 we now introduce a factory installed Extended Frequency Range UPGRADE option (Option 32/UPG) adding 1 pps as well as 125 MHz measurements. (The standard WM-11 can measure frequencies between 50 Hz and 60 MHz). Simultaneously we introduce a SyncE-tap as an external accessory to convert 1 GB Ethernet signaling to 125 MHz (Option 31). The SyncE-tap extracts the Ethernet clock in a fully transparent way, for Wander measurements with the upgraded WM-11

Combining the extended frequency range upgrade and option 31 (SyncE-tap), is a low-cost investment for current users to convert their WM-11 to a SyncE (125 MHz) and PTP (1-pps) wander measurement tool. For more information, download the SyncE-tap (option 31) datasheet.
